2023 Christian Women Of Distinction

Kathy Branzell serves as the President of the National Day of Prayer (NDP) Task, Force, The National Day of Prayer, a day that encourages Americans to pray for the people, and leaders of the United States began in 1775. 

Today, the National Day of Prayer includes millions of people who attend 30,000 observances organized by 40,000 volunteers all over the USA. Kathy is also the founder and president of Fellowship and Christian Encouragement (FACE) for Educators, and the author/co-author of five books on prayer. 

 Dr. Jane Hansen Hoyt serves as President/CEO of Aglow International, a Christian women’s organization of more than 200,000 women, and global leaders who touch 17 million people annually. 

Under Jane’s leadership, Aglow is now found in 170 nations. Aglow’s ultimate goal is to see every 

nation touched and every heart changed through encounters that 

restore people’s relationship with God and one another.
As an International speaker and author, she challenges mindsets to view each circumstance of life from a Heavenly perspective. Jane has been honored by the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus in Jerusalem for Aglow’s commitment to bringing tourism to the State of Israel, and for Aglow’s ongoing contribution to the Jewish State. She also serves on The Steering Committee of The American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI).  

 Dr. Alveda C. King is a civil rights activist, speaking out on issues that face society today. She is the  founder of “Speak for Life” a Pro-Life ministry mobilizing generations of pro-life advocates that will boldly speak for life!

She the daughter of the late slain civil rights activist Rev. A. D. King and his wife Naomi Barber King.  
Currently, Alveda is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, serving as Pastoral Associate for Civil Rights for The Unborn and  Priests for Life. She also consults with the Africa Humanitarian Christian Fellowship, founded by her mentor, Pastor Allen McNair of Believers' Bible Christian Church in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is a former college professor, holding a Masters of Arts degree in Business Management. She is a published author, the most popular works being her best selling books Sons Of Thunder: The King Family Legacy, and I Don't Want Your Man, I Want My Own. This inspirational collection of Christian testimonies is used at conferences and workshops around the world.  Alveda's Doctorate of Laws was conferred by Saint Anslem College. She has served on the boards and committees of numerous organizations, including the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, Coalition Of African American Pastors, and the Judeo-Christian Coalition For Constitutional Restoration. She also served in the Georgia State House of Representatives, and is an accomplished actress and songwriter.  During the years of the Civil Rights Movement, led by her Uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Alveda's family home was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama in the heat of the struggle. "Daddy's house was bombed, then in Louisville, Kentucky his church office was bombed. I was also jailed during the open housing movement," she recalls.  

Commissioner Jolene K. Hodder is the USA National Secretary for Program in Alexandria, Virginia. 

She is the highest ranking female officer in the Salvation Army in the USA. She has a passion for leading women to Christ and then equipping, motivating, and preparing them for effective ministry.  Jolene is the author of two published books, and has worked across America and overseas serving all people without discrimination, wherever, whenever and however she can.

 Marilyn Hickey is a TV ministry pioneer for women, with her TV and media ministry reaching around the world. She is a  peacemaker, and teacher, who has personally shared her message of God’s love and forgiveness in 138 countries. 

Her organization has actively been 

involved meeting humanitarian need around the world. She is a builder of bridges with people of all cultures and religious backgrounds.

This includes private meetings and prayer with high-ranking government officials globally. 

Her lectures on healing and the Bible have broken records

 for the largest public meetings ever held in Egypt, and Pakistan.
Marilyn lives out her great desire to help unite people. Where there is need, there is a call to respond. With true Christian humanitarian hearts, Marilyn Hickey Ministry partners have helped millions of individuals overcome setbacks and practice Biblical principles. 

 Shirley Dobson, is the honorary “Mom of America,” Through her partnership with her husband Dr. James Dobson, in “Focus on the Family” and now “Family Talk” broadcasts, millions of families have received the support and encouragement they have needed to navigate their daily lives.

  As a teacher, author, public speaker, board member, wife, mother, and grandmother,
Shirley has invested her life to promote the success of others. Under her leadership and strong faith Shirley Dobson was critical to the massive expansion of the National Day of Prayer in the USA. Millions of Americans now take their responsibility seriously to pray for government leaders. Many times congressional members have been uplifted by the friendly, non-agenda visit of a prayer supporter.  

 Bodie Thoene (Bodee Taynee) is a world renowned author of 75 historical novels as well as an award winning screen writer and movie producer.  Her books have sold 35 million copies in 30 languages. She is winner of 8 ECPA Gold Medallion awards for Fiction, more  than any other author in history. 

Bodie is above all, a follower of Jesus Christ. She is an American Patriot and fervent supporter of the Nation of Israel, a wife, mother and grandmother. Her movie, I’m Not Ashamed, the true story of Rachel Joy Scott, first martyr of Columbine, was finalist for GMA Dove Awards Most Inspirational film of 2017. 

Her historical novels have been an inspiration to millions of readers  across America and around the world.
 

 Reverend Eve Nunez is a national faith-based leader most known for her work as a child advocate and Hispanic community organizer. 

Her decades-long commitment to these communities has earned her a National Service Award from President George W. Bush, the Martin Luther King Jr. Award from President Barak Obama, the Street Saint Award from Governor Janet Napolitano, and many more.
Over 28 years ago, Rev. Nunez founded Help 4 Kidz – a non-profit organization that has received national recognition for its work on behalf of at-risk children and teens. 

Today Help4kidz’s  volunteers & Chaplains continue the work of mentoring & ministering to children and teens all over the USA. Rev. Nunez founded the organization in loving memory of her 15-year-old son, Frankie, who died from a terminal brain tumor.
Rev. Nunez is also the Founder and President of the National Latina/Latino Commission (NLLC), which helps Latino churches partner with community organizations, local governments and faith- based organizations to better serve their communities through substance abuse recovery and prevention, affordable housing acquisition, work force investment, mentoring, and other critical functions. 

Penny Young Nance, is CEO and President of Concerned Women for America (CWA)  the nation's largest public policy women's organization in the United States.

Penny is a recognized national authority on cultural, children’s, and women’s issues. She oversees more than 500,000 participating CWA members across the country, over 300 Prayer/Action Chapters and Home teams, 50 Young Women for America (YWA) Presidents or Ambassadors, and 600 trained leaders, and is also the president of Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), serving as the principal spokesperson for both entities. 

 Peggy Nienaber serves as the Vice President for Faith & Liberty overseeing the ministry programs and events that focus on building strong alliances on Capitol Hill.

 Peggy also serves as President of the Capitol Forum Club a meeting held inside the U.S. Capitol. Peggy has been actively involved with Pro-Life, Pro-Family and Religious Freedom issues for over 27 years working formerly as a special assistant to celebrity Art Linkletter and legendary singer Pat Boone promoting senior issues.

Peggy was a NGO Liaison for the United Nations in New York and participated in the UN Commission on the Status of Women, World Congress of Families in Poland, and was involved in changing opinions and the resolutions passed by the United Nations.
