Heidi Scheer first joined She Leads Michigan as Mrs. USA after finishing her reign as Mrs. Michigan. We have journeyed with her as she wore that crown for two years during Covid , won the Mrs. Worldwide competition and now Mrs. Universe TCP. We are proud of her!
She is an Autism Health Advocate of 16 years and the owner of a health and wellness company that serves the autism community worldwide. Heidi is a published author, international speaker, and has united autism organizations in the US, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands.
She is the creator of an organic non-GMO energy bar that has raised funds for autism families in the US and Australia, and has co-written and produced an autism film that has been viewed around the world.
The platform-based pageant allowed Scheer to champion her cause: “Treating the Puzzle of Autism.” Her son Gannon was diagnosed with autism just before his fourth birthday, and was non-verbal. Scheer says she was given no hope, and was told by doctors that Gannon “may never speak a sentence, may never have friends, may never be in general education, he may never tell you that he loves you.”
By age 11, after countless therapies and protocols, Gannon no longer qualified for the clinical diagnosis of autism. Last year, Gannon entered Indiana University. Since her son’s diagnosis, Scheer has become an advocate for treatment and recovery. Pageants, she says, are a way for her to share her story of hope.
“So many parents are given no hope. They’re basically given a diagnosis and told to get speech therapy. To me, this pageant is an opportunity to help others. It’s truly a vehicle for me to help others help their children,” she said. “All this training and experience in pageantry, it’s going to serve me now to help others.”
We are excited to welcome She Leads America's new Director of State Development Kimberly Dirmann from Anaheim, California.

Currently Kimberly serves as co-pastor of The Rock in Anaheim, California, a church she and her husband Jerry opened in April, 2000.
