"In January 2019, I felt the Lord spoke to me while in prayer that Christian women in Michigan needed to be "a voice" for traditional values. They needed to rise up and take a stand for Biblical principles, they needed to lead our Nation back to God." says Liz Doyle, Founder She Leads America.
"I had a meeting with my State Representative, fellow believer, Bronna Kahle. Recognizing that we get more of what we celebrate, a decision was made to hold an Afternoon Tea to honor women of faith for their accomplishments for the State of Michigan. We called our organization, 'She Leads Michigan'".
"With most of my work being global, I didn't have many connections in Michigan, but the Lord continued to lead. One contact would lead to another until we had our first Tea honoring the first 100 remarkable women, September 2019."
"2020 brought new challenges - Covid 19, the lockdowns, our freedoms being challenged and livelihoods threatened. She Leads Michigan never missed a beat, continuing to reach out, holding Liberty Rallies in our communities and a prayer concert called “The Invitation” on the steps of our State Capitol. We began praying together weekly and producing our “She Speaks” programs giving women a platform on which to share their lives and work."
She Leads America is a company of women made up of many ethnicities, denominations, and backgrounds. As senior leaders engaged in 10 fields of interest including education, business, government, health and wellness, community outreach, social action, family, life and welfare, media and entertainment and Christian Ministry, we celebrate the accomplishments and impact women of faith are having in all sectors of society. As women connect in celebration of what God is accomplishing through our lives, collaboration is ignited and change is accelerated to bring faith-based solutions to modern day challenges.
Nancy DeBoer, former Mayor of Holland, MI., SLM’s Assistant Director says, “She Leads America” will connect women of faith throughout our States and Nation, thereby weaving a strong fabric of kindred spirits that focuses on encouraging each other, releasing each woman to fulfill her potential, and using our collective influence, building good in the world”.
We are engaged in 10 fields of interest including education, business, government, community outreach, social action, family, life and welfare and Christian Ministry. Three time Emmy award winner and She Leads Michigan Honoree, Julie Holton says, “This organization is actively leading the way with faith-based solutions for modern-day challenges. I am incredibly honored to be included with this group of women who are comprised of politicians, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, pastors, and many more.”
More than ever, Christian women must speak up for traditional values. The challenges of Covid, our children’s education and the “new normal,” we are told we must accept, are what we feel called to address with the “Mind of Christ” found as we collaborate together in prayer led by the National Day of Prayer National Area leader for the Midwest, Sylvia Williams, and our many experts. Now we feel the Lord wants to simultaneously launch this movement into the entire Nation. Pray for us as we continue to grow in numbers and influence. “The women in “She leads Michigan” have done so much and are so humble. He’s given us great minds and creativity, so as we come together, under Christ, we can do better, things don’t have to stay the way they are”. Dr. Vicki-Lynn Holmes, Hope College.
