SHE LEADS AMERICA: 2024 GALA REPORT
250 people attended our 4th annual Gala
this past September at the Museum of the
Bible in Washington DC honoring another
10 Christian Women of Distinction and
two young Christian Women of Distinction
who were entered into the Congressional
Record and honored by She Leads America.
This year the focus of the She Leads
America events built upon our UK themes.
Over the years the Gala has grown to include
events that are now held in prestigious
venues on Capitol Hill. We are thankful
to Congresswoman Lisa McClain
and her staff for working with Faith
and Liberty’s Peggy Nienaber to acquire
these spaces.
Day 1
This year we had a challenge getting
the necessary rooms. It became an urgent
matter for prayer! As we continued to
trust the Lord and pray we found that
the Lord was “upgrading” us and we ended
up meeting in the Speaker’s rooms in the
U.S. Capitol Building for the pre-screening
of Abby Johnson's new film, “Unthinkable”
bringing pro-life leaders together to
strengthenour resolve to “Bring the World
Back to Life.”
We had an evening reception and
further screening at the Faith and Liberty
house across from the Supreme Court!
Day 2
One of our annual events is a
Congressional Breakfast the Women on
the Hill Appreciation Breakfast, here we
honor Christian Women in Congress for
their service awarding a Legislator of the
Year Award and inviting our legislative
partner, Congresswoman Lisa McClain
to join us presenting the new national
honorees copies of the Congressional
Record that includes their accomplishments.
It also gives us the opportunity to
personally pray for our Legislators.
This year we moved from the Rayburn
Office Building to the U.S. Capitol
Building. What an honor! Not only that,
but we were given the space to launch
SheLeads Native America with a
beautiful luncheon.
Congressman Russ Fulcher from Idaho
joined us congratulating the 12 national
indigenous women leaders who comprise
the leadership council as we celebrated
“Ethnic Harmony”
Our annual Gala was an amazing success as we remembered the Windsor Castle Consultation. We were delighted to welcome some of our She Leads UK honorees! Past Women of Distinction joined us to welcome the new She Leads America honorees!
Day 3
We met in the beautiful Nancy Pelosi caucus room, for the Dignity
of Women panel discussion led by educational specialist and
actress Sam Sorbo and Intercessor for America’s Kris Kubal.
Dr Alveda King opened up sharing “Biblical Womanhood.”
We then explored fairness in women's sports with advocates,
Macy Petty and Olympians Dr. Madeline Manning Mims
OLY and Chandra Cheeseborough OLY as well as
human rights for women in persecuted Christian nations,
and how we can protect our young girls from the attacks
that they receive in our educational system through
sex-ed classes and other forms of discrimination.
We looked at sex trafficking and abuse and how
we can stop it..
We had a treat in store with a special “Meet and Greet"
with famous authors Bodie and Brock Thoene in the
Jesus of Nazareth Gallery in Museum of the Bible.
Our final session was held in David’s Tent with a Prayer
Concert on the Mall launching “She Rises” The beautiful
Modern Messages Dance Company ministered as
the we celebrated the younger women amongst us!
